ABOUT MATTHEW
Matthew, like all successful racing drivers, started racing in karts at the age of 7. By the age 8 he was the Formula Cadet Champion. It was clear from this start that Matthew had a natural talent and huge potential.
After many years of successful karting Matthew made the move into single seater racing cars, competing in the National Formula Ford 1600 Championship. Matthew made a impressive impact in the series and in just his second race meeting he was on the podium for finishing second at Silverstone under tricky wet conditions.
This early success carried on through out the year and led to a brilliant second place in the championship in just his first year!
In 2010 Matthew was unfortunately limited with his budget, racing in only the Champion of Brands series at Brands Hatch. Although he has been limited with track time he continued to show his increasing ability behind the wheel and won his first meeting of the year and qualified on pole for the other two meetings, setting a new lap record for the daunting Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.
In 2011 the decision was made to make a switch from single seaters into saloon cars. This change of racing allowed Matthew to learn how to drive different machinery and become a more rounded driver. With Several podiums, pole positions and three race wins Matthew adapted his style well and it proved to be another successful season.

“My ambition for the 2012 season is to gain as much experience in GT and Endurance racing as possible for my ultimate dream of competing in the Le Mans 24 hours. Competing in the Britcar British Endurance Championship and other similar championships will give me valuable experience in this style of racing”
